Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Smith throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
A solid leg kick lands there for Ventura.
Smith tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Ventura paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Smith is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Ventura keeps the fight on the outside.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Smith throws a body kick that misses.

Smith gets caught flat footed, as Ventura shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Ventura drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Ventura jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Ventura thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Ventura is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Ventura has gone for a leg lock! Smith slips out almost immediately though and dives into Ventura's guard.
Smith wants to control from the top but Ventura keeps moving.
Smith passes Ventura's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Ventura is not content to let Smith control the position.

Ventura is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Smith pulls his head out easily.
Smith works his way into side control.

Smith is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Ventura is trying to escape and Smith transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Ventura is forced to tap! Nice work there by Smith! Very nice indeed!
