Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Yuri Boyka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ed Kowalczyk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Igor Prikhodko and Dmitry Maklakov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boyka shoots in for a takedown but Kowalczyk shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Boyka is defended easily by Kowalczyk.

Kowalczyk swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Kowalczyk throws a right and a left that Boyka avoids nicely.

Boyka slips a jab and a cross from Kowalczyk.
Boyka fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Kowalczyk avoids it really well and circles away.

Kowalczyk stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Boyka looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Kowalczyk is fending him off so far but Boyka persists. Nope, Kowalczyk circles away and we're back to standing.
Kowalczyk fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Kowalczyk scores to the head and body with a nice combination!


Boyka is rocked!
Kowalczyk throws a right and a left that Boyka avoids nicely.
Oh Boyka is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Kowalczyk looks to land a combination but Boyka avoids it well.
Boyka shoots in looking for a takedown. Kowalczyk tries to sprawl out of it but Boyka keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kowalczyk manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Boyka seems to have got his legs back now.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Boyka fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Boyka is breathing heavily.
Kowalczyk misses with a double jab.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ed Kowalczyk dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Boyka shoots in looking for a takedown. Kowalczyk tries to sprawl out of it but Boyka keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kowalczyk manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Boyka shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Kowalczyk as he jumps to the side.
Kowalczyk slaps away a takedown attempt from Boyka, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Boyka fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Kowalczyk throws a one two combo.

Kowalczyk rushes Boyka with punches - Boyka moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Boyka goes down! Kowalczyk follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!
