Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jacko Parantainen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jonny Kingston (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jacko Parantainen has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jacko Parantainen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jonny Kingston!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Daniel Franklin and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kingston shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Kingston was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Parantainen is desperately trying to improve his position but Kingston has a good base and remains in mount.
Kingston with shots to the head and body - Parantainen looks very uncomfortable down there.

Kingston goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Parantainen is on top in guard.
Kingston trying to keep a closed guard but Parantainen is proving a slippery customer.
Parantainen stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kingston swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Parantainen sitting in guard here, content to control.
Parantainen postures up in Kingston's guard and throws a big left but Kingston blocks it.

Parantainen keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Kingston's head.

Parantainen drops back looking for a leg! Kingston is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Kingston manages to kick Parantainen off! Parantainen jumps back into Kingston's guard.
Parantainen passes into half guard.
Kingston is refusing to be controlled, as Parantainen sits in half guard.
Kingston pushes Parantainen off but Parantainen dives into side control.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Kingston is trying to control Parantainen's posture but Parantainen avoids it.
Parantainen trying to control the action but Kingston is working from the bottom.

Parantainen is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Kingston is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
The referee asks Parantainen politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Parantainen prefers to stall for the moment though.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Jacko Parantainen just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
Parantainen shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Kingston counters with a shoot takedown. Parantainen fights it but they end up in guard.

Kingston throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Parantainen escapes and throws Kingston's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Parantainen will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Parantainen is staying tight to Kingston's torso, preventing him from escaping.

Parantainen advances to mount.
Kingston really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Parantainen looking to control and managing it successfully.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
A nice elbow there by Parantainen.

Parantainen is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Kingston has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Kingston tries to lock up and control but Parantainen gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

That was a close second round but I would say that Jacko Parantainen will probably get the nod.

Parantainen scores with a one two! Kingston had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Parantainen throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Parantainen has his takedown stuffed

so Kingston counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Parantainen lands a decent shot there.
Kingston trying to control but Parantainen is working from the bottom.
Kingston throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Parantainen works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Kingston has gone for a leg lock! Parantainen slips out almost immediately though and dives into Kingston's guard.
Kingston takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Parantainen seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Parantainen seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Kingston for as long as he can get away with.
Parantainen's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Parantainen thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Kingston's head.
Kingston wants to control but Parantainen passes into side.

Parantainen content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Jonny Kingston has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Jacko Parantainen showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Parantainen, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
