The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Van der Gof throws a push kick but Hokanen slaps the foot to one side.
Hokanen misses with a looping left.
Hokanen misses with a hook. Van der Gof ducked under it nicely.
Hokanen stuffs the takedown.
Hokanen just misses with a punch to the body.
Van der Gof closes this distance looking for a takedown but Hokanen circles away.

Van der Gof closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Hokanen misses with a strike from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hokanen manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Van der Gof is trying to stand up here but Hokanen is controlling him well.
Hokanen lands with a punch from half guard.
Van der Gof really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hokanen. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Hokanen passes the guard and advances to mount!
You get the feeling that Van der Gof really doesn't like being in this position too much.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Van der Gof can do anything to dispel that myth.

Hokanen postures up and throws a massive shot that knocks Van der Gof out cold! Two more strikes to his unconscious opponent for good luck and this one is all over! Hokanen goes absolutely crazy with his corner! Wow, you can see how much that win means to him!
