Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Samoa Rome (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vasily Krakow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rome comes to the cage accompanied by Samoan Death. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rome throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Rome lands a lovely overhand right.
Rome fails to land the takedown.
Rome slips under a jab.
Krakow shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Rome counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Krakow!
Krakow is trying to escape the mount.
Krakow throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing.

Rome swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Krakow is now in Rome's guard. A big mistake from Rome there, giving up the dominant position!

Rome throws his legs up looking for a submission but Krakow uses it to pass to side control.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

and Rome counters with a shoot takedown. Krakow fights it but they end up in guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rome won't allow Krakow to get back to his feet.

Rome drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Krakow dives on top into guard.

Rome is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Krakow defends well.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Rome tries for a takedown but Krakow circles away easily
and Krakow counters with a two punch combo.
Krakow gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Rome counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Krakow thinking.
Rome displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Krakow throws out the jab.
Nice defenses there by Rome.
Krakow misses with a straight left.
Rome tries to move into range but Krakow moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Rome throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Krakow was covering up waiting for the punch and Rome finishes the takedown easily into guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Krakow manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Rome shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Rome showed some decent athleticism there.
Rome wants to control but Krakow is keeping him busy.
Krakow tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Rome has advanced to mount. Uh oh.

Rome looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

Krakow wants to hold on but Rome pushes him away.
Rome really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Rome is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Krakow has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Krakow!

Rome has his foot on Krakow's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Krakow works his way back into a safe position though.

Krakow stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and Rome has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! Krakow manages to get his head free but now Rome has transitioned to an armbar! Krakow grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Rome! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!
