The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cena cracks a nice hook into Watkins's ribs.
Watkins looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Watkins showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Cena.

Cena bobbing and weaving well here. And he's unloaded with a massive right hand that drops Watkins! He dives into his guard looking to finish!

It looks like Ian Watkins has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Cena is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Cena accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Watkins can do anything to dispel that myth.
Cena in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Cena lands a couple of elbows.
Cena is pushing down on Watkins's leg trying to pass to half guard. Watkins is fighting to maintain full guard but Cena has managed to sneak the leg through.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Watkins won't allow Cena to pass to mount.
Cena is trying to control. Watkins wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Cena working over Watkins with some ground and pound. Watkins looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Cena seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Watkins does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Cena throwing shots but Watkins is blocking nicely.
Cena thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Cena throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Watkins stumbling backwards into the cage! Watkins bounces back off the cage towards Cena, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Cena lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Cena celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.
