The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tyson throws out a leg kick but Messersmith moves out of range and Tyson only half commits.
Tyson moves out of range of the body kick.
Tyson works the jab nicely.
Messersmith goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Tyson should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Messersmith lands a big head kick that sends Tyson tumbling to the mat! Messersmith takes a step backwards and waves Tyson back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Tyson is rocked!

It looks like Jay Jay Tyson has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Both fighters circling slowly here as the pace drops. Hopefully one of them does someth.. OOOHHHH!!!! Messersmith throws an absolute beast of a head kick! Tyson is done! He's out cold, twisted and contorted up against the cage! Wow!
