Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jose Jalenpeno (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Oxbigg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jalenpeno tries to clinch but Oxbigg is having none of it.

Oxbigg avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Oxbigg shoots for a double leg takedown but Jalenpeno sprawls well. He's pushed Oxbigg's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Mike Oxbigg seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Oxbigg will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Oxbigg shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Jalenpeno pinned against the cage. Jalenpeno gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Jalenpeno is pressed up against the cage. Oxbigg has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Jalenpeno down to the mat. Jalenpeno avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Oxbigg will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Oxbigg gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Jalenpeno.
Oxbigg changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Jalenpeno fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Oxbigg wants to control the pace but Jalenpeno is squirming around nicely.

Jalenpeno is controlling an arm, preventing Oxbigg from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.

Oxbigg has control of Jalenpeno's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Jalenpeno regains control of the situation pretty easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
