Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ruffus Raucus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bas Boom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ruffus Raucus could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Bas Boom's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Raucus misses with a body shot.
Boom fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Raucus avoids it really well and circles away.
Raucus throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Boom drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Raucus manages to work his way to half guard, despite Boom's best efforts.
Raucus tries to get to full guard but Boom has control of the leg.
Boom lands strikes from half guard.

Boom won't allow Raucus to sweep him here.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Boom accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Boom fails with a takedown attempt.
Ruffus Raucus seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Boom shoots in looking for a takedown. Raucus tries to sprawl out of it but Boom keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Raucus manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Ruffus Raucus has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bas Boom.
Raucus looks to throw the jab but Boom is out of range.

Boom avoids a punch combination nicely.
Nice sprawl there from Raucus as Boom shoots in.
Boom moves out of range of the body kick.

Boom fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Raucus sprawls well initially but Boom persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Raucus wants to control but Boom is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Raucus is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Boom wants to control but Raucus is keeping him busy.

Raucus wants to get back to full guard.
Boom thows a huge punch but Raucus dodges it nicely.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Boom looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Raucus with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
The fighters are battling for position here. Raucus manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Boom connects with a couple of short punches.
Boom missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Boom trying to control but Raucus is working from the bottom.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Boom won't allow Raucus to sweep him here.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Raucus tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bas Boom dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Raucus forces Boom back against the cage and clinches.
Raucus is trying to stall.
Boom goes for a takedown in the clinch but Raucus prevents it.
Boom has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Raucus is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Boom wants a takedown.
Ruffus Raucus has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bas Boom.
Raucus manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
The crowd are getting pretty annoyed with Raucus for his constant stalling in the clinch and are voicing their displeasure.
Boom is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Raucus gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Boom tries to score a body lock takedown but Raucus shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Boom has Raucus pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Raucus manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Boom drops down looking for an ankle pick but Raucus pulls his leg out and moves away.
Raucus throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Boom's head.
Boom is breathing heavily.

Raucus lands with a jab that stuns his opponent. Boom is looking to close the distance but Raucus sees it coming and throws a beautiful knee! Boom crumbles to the mat and that's all she wrote! Let's hope Boom is OK because that was naaaaaasty!
