Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Damien William!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Gregory Folan and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Martin getting the better of the striking in that exchange.

William uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Martin.
William takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Martin throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Felix Martin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

William moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

William won't allow Martin to sweep him here.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

and Martin counters with a nice double leg into side control. William won't be happy with that.

Martin throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and William works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Martin is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Martin is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so William is just riding it out for now. Martin eventually gives up the hold.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

William doesn't manage to clinch there - Martin circles away.

William tries to score a power double leg takedown but Martin sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten William somewhat.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Damien William is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Martin tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and William is able to avoid easily.
Martin ducks down and throws a hook to the body but William moves away.

William takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

Felix Martin is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Martin, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
