Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Aslak Lappalainen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and It Kiefa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kiefa tries to clinch but Lappalainen is having none of it.
Lappalainen swats away the attempt to clinch by Kiefa.
Lappalainen takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Kiefa wants to clinch.
Kiefa dodges the punch combination from Lappalainen.
Kiefa tries to clinch up but Lappalainen circles away and keeps his distance.
Lappalainen throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Kiefa tries a head kick but it misses.
Lappalainen fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Kiefa is out of range.
Kiefa tries to clinch there but Lappalainen circles away.
Kiefa swings for the body but Lappalainen moves out of range.
It Kiefa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kiefa misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kiefa pushes Lappalainen up against the cage in a clinch.
Kiefa wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Lappalainen has him pressed against the cage.

Kiefa's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Kiefa throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Lappalainen blocks it with crossed arms.
Kiefa creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Lappalainen takes an elbow to the forehead.
Kiefa crunches a lovely knee into Lappalainen's ribcage.
Kiefa is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body.
Kiefa content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Kiefa unloads a knee to the mid-section. Lappalainen lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
Lappalainen is breathing heavily.

Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Kiefa gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Kiefa tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Kiefa wants to stall.

Kiefa escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Kiefa scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Lappalainen scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Lappalainen throws a nice looking combination but Kiefa bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Kiefa closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Kiefa pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Kiefa wants to clinch.
A head kick from Kiefa lands but Lappalainen takes it in his stride.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Nice body punch from Kiefa.
Kiefa connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Lappalainen tumbling to the canvas! Kiefa pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Lappalainen was done - good stoppage!
