PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Peter Mengele (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Majik Kalashnikov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Mengele might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Hipster tunes. Kalashnikov comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Got yourself a gun. kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mengele closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Kalashnikov to the mat! Kalashnikov manages to get full guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Mengele accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Mengele has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Kalashnikov misses with a takedown

Kalashnikov has taken the fight to the clinch.

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Kalashnikov jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Mengele walks away with a smile on his face. Kalashnikov gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Mengele dives in and grabs Kalashnikov's left leg, looking for a takedown. Kalashnikov pushes down on Mengele's head and hops out.

Kalashnikov stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Kalashnikov wants it to stay on the feet.

Mengele's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Mengele content just to control the position here.
Mengele is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Kalashnikov can do to turn this around?

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Mengele, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
