Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ray Marsh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jon Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones has chosen Seduction as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ray Marsh!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jon Jones!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Tiny Johnson and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marsh misses with a takedown attempt - Jones sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Marsh.
Jones should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
The fight stays on the outside here - Jones looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Marsh misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Marsh swats away the attempt to clinch by Jones.
Jones moves in looking to clinch but Marsh pushes him off.

Marsh shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Jones as he avoids it easily.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Jones is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Marsh bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Marsh takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Marsh seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Jones for as long as he can get away with.

Marsh is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Jones sees it coming and defends easily.
Marsh takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Jones can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Marsh controls the pace.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Ray Marsh just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.

and Marsh counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Marsh dives in and grabs Jones's left leg, looking for a takedown. Jones pushes down on Marsh's head and hops out.

Jones wants to stand but Marsh has his arm trapped.
Marsh is trying to buck Jones off.
Marsh keeping his opponent close.
Marsh wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Marsh is looking for a sweep.
Marsh is trying to control Jones's posture but Jones avoids it.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Marsh regains half guard, as Jones was trying to land strikes.

Jones is breathing heavily.

Marsh shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Jones as he jumps to the side.
Ray Marsh is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Jones wants to clinch but Marsh slips to the side

and Marsh decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Jones's guard.

Jones is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Marsh gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Marsh manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Marsh scores with the left hand. Jones knows he should have avoided that one.

Marsh changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Jones tries to avoid it but Marsh manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Jones to the ground. Jones escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Marsh shoots in for a takedown but Jones shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
No luck for Marsh with that takedown attempt.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Jones slaps away a takedown attempt from Marsh, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Marsh misses with a wild body shot.
Marsh shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Jones counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Jones.

And that's the end of the fight!
Ray Marsh showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Marsh, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
