Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Mogul Khan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pablo Soriano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Soriano is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Bebot by The Black Eyed Peas. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mogul Khan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Pablo Soriano!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, John Mangel and Steve Erwin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Soriano.
Khan throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.

Khan shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Khan was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Khan trying to control but Soriano is having none of it.
Soriano is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Soriano holds on for dear life, controlling Khan's posture momentarily.
Soriano holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Khan tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Soriano tries to hold on but Khan postures up.
Khan trying to control but he's not successful this time.

Khan is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Soriano to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Soriano shrugs it off.
Khan seems to be looking to move to his opponent's back but Soriano is holding on tight.
Khan prevents Soriano from getting the reversal.
Khan fails to advance to Soriano's back.
Soriano is desperately trying to improve his position but Khan has a good base and remains in mount.
Khan is dominating on the ground here - he's now on his opponent's back, looking to sink in the hooks. Soriano is in real trouble.

Khan has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Soriano has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Soriano wants to escape the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Soriano breaks Khan's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Soriano must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Soriano got a little sloppy there for a moment and Khan has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Soriano has managed to get both his arms back between Khan's legs - danger averted.

Soriano decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Khan tries to close the distance and clinch up but Soriano swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Khan throws a nice looking combination but Soriano bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Soriano lands a nice shot that snaps Khan's head back.
A looping hook to the body misses from Soriano. Khan does a little dance to reset his feet.
Soriano scores with a sloppy right hand. Khan should have avoided that one.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Soriano is looking to slow Khan down with leg kicks.
Pablo Soriano seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Soriano takes the fight into the clinch.
Soriano stalling in the clinch.
Soriano tries a knee to the head but Khan blocks it.
Soriano looking to throw knees to the head but Khan is blocking nicely.
Soriano is leaning against Khan and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
Khan is breathing heavily.
Khan takes a shot to the head.

Soriano stalls.
Soriano connects with a nasty looking knee right to Khan's face.
Soriano lands with a short punch from the clinch.

Soriano prevents Khan from breaking the clinch.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Soriano.

Soriano lands a knee to the head.
Soriano lands a hook to the side of the head.
Khan is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Soriano controlling the action here for a moment.
Soriano receives a warning from the referee for stalling.
A nice right hand lands inside from Soriano.
Soriano with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.
Soriano digs a right hand into Khan's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Khan's gas tank.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Soriano missing with a left hand there. Khan was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Khan closes the distance and clinches up with Soriano, looking for a takedown. Khan pushes Soriano against the cage but Soriano circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Khan blocks the body kick.

Soriano clinches with his opponent.

Soriano manages to break the clinch.
Soriano scores with a jab to the jaw.

Soriano lands a big head kick that sends Khan tumbling to the mat! Soriano takes a step backwards and waves Khan back to his feet - he wants the finish!


Khan is rocked!


It looks like Mogul Khan has been cut.
Soriano bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Oh Khan is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Soriano scores with a jab to the head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Soriano! Khan is out on his feet! Soriano rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Khan is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Khan is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:52 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Pablo Soriano!
