Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Calzada throws a hook but Malakoso blocks it.
Malakoso tries to clinch up but Calzada circles away and keeps his distance.
Malakoso ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Calzada moves away.

It looks like Carlos Malakoso has been cut.

and Calzada takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Calzada fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Malakoso avoids it really well and circles away.
Malakoso swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Calzada scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Malakoso misses with an uppercut. Calzada saw that one coming.
Malakoso slaps away a takedown attempt from Calzada, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Malakoso closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

Calzada lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Calzada.

Calzada drops back looking for a leg! Malakoso is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Malakoso manages to kick Calzada off! Calzada jumps back into Malakoso's guard.

Perlito Calzada showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Malakoso pushes Calzada away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Calzada gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Calzada is trying to take his opponent's back.

Malakoso has left one of his arms exposed and Calzada doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Malakoso screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
