Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ready Go (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kingston James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). James comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Big Mouth Strikes Again kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Ready Go could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Kingston James's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 1, fighting out of London, Ready Go!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Kingston James!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Richard Clark and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Go on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
James throws a right hand that Go ducks under and follows up with a left that Go also avoids with ease.
Go with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling James to score with a decent uppercut.
Go avoids the body shot from James.

James gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

James is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Go is aware though and is defending well.
James is trying to control the position but Go postures up.
Go stays in close to James's body and controls the position.
Go won't allow James to sweep him here.
Go throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

James is looking for a triangle but Go pushes his legs off easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
James has momentary wrist control but Go slips an elbow through the middle.

James is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Go dives into side control.

James tries to bench press Go off him but Go keeps the position.
Go is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt James will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Go tries to score with some ground and pound. James controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

James tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.
Go controlling the position easily from mount.
Go is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. James can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Go postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. James looks a forlorn figure.
James wants to try and get back to his feet.
James gets back to half guard.

Go working the head and body with strikes.
Go trying to control from half guard but James is working away.

James pushes Go off and gets back to his feet.

James gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Go to score an easy takedown into full guard.
James wants to sweep here but Go controlling him for the moment.
Go working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
James is striking but Go is not phased and passes to half guard.
Go moves into full mount! James won't be happy about that!

James bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Go wants to stand but James is controlling the position.
James is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
James with a nice head shot there.
James is working Go over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
James is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Go uses the cage to get back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ready Go dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Go dives in and grabs James's left leg, looking for a takedown. James pushes down on Go's head and hops out.
Go avoids the body shot from James.
James leaves Go with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
James throws a hook to the side of Go's head but Go sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
James throws the left hand but Go avoids the punch easily.
James tries to bum rush Go with a series of wild strikes but Go uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
James fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
James connects with a single shot there.
Go throws a half hearted mid kick.
Danga de danga de dang - James scores with a four punch combination!
James misses with a jab, cross combination.

James throws a one two combo.


It looks like Ready Go has been cut.
James works Go's body with a nice hook.
Good exchange - James coming out on top.
Go takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
James throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
James is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
Go ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
James throws the left hand but Go avoids the punch easily.
James lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
James throws a lazy right hand but Go sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Go shoots for a takedown but James saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ready Go. That's going to take a lot out of him.
James throws a hook but Go blocks it.
Kingston James seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
James throws a right and a left that both miss.

James lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by James.

Go darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

James kicks Go off and gets back to his feet.
James throws a hook but Go avoids it easily.

Nice sprawl there from James as Go shoots in.
James takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

James lands a really nice looking cross but Go seems unphased.
James throws a jab when Go was well out of range.
James lands a right hook to the body.
Go blocks a jab.
James getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
James takes a swing at Go's ribcage but misses.
James lands a jab to the nose.
James looks to score with a jab to the body but Go is just out of range.
Go shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as James sprawls well. James wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Go gets slowly back to his feet.

James connects with a crisp jab.
Go keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
James looks to score with a jab to the body but Go is just out of range.
James misses with a hook.

Go moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Go slips a jab and a cross from James.
Go walks into a straight right hand from James.
James throws a body punch but Go moves out of range.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Go takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
James throws a shot to the body.
James digs a good body shot into Go's ribs.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kingston James showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The cut man is working on Ready Go's cut.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. And we move into the final round!

James swings for the body but Go moves out of range.
James throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
James dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
James jabs at Go's body.
Go closes the distance and clinches up with James, looking for a takedown. Go pushes James against the cage but James circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
James throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Go sees it coming and avoids it easily.
James cracks Go with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Go on the wrong end of a nice hook.
A lazy left from James finds it's target.
Go on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
A cross from James lands.
James takes a swing at Go's ribcage but misses.

James throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
James scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Go doesn't seem bothered though.
James scores with a jab to the head.
James scores with a jab to the body.
James throws a jab when Go was well out of range.
Go ducks under a wild hook from James.
Kingston James seems to be getting the better of the standup.
James connects with a jab.

Go closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Go lands in his opponent's guard.
James wants to stand and escape but Go is having none of it.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now James is on top in guard.

James postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

James is pushing down on Go's leg trying to pass to half guard. Go is fighting to maintain full guard but James has managed to sneak the leg through.

James has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

James seems to be working for a kimura but Go defends the submission attempt.

James decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
James looks to land a left hand but Go moved out of range nicely.
Go steps to the side to avoid the strikes from James.
Go moves out of range of the strikes.
James fails to land with a series of punches.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
James swings and misses with a hook to the body.

James lands with a shot to the body.
James tries to bum rush Go with a series of wild strikes but Go uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Go looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.
James misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Go.
James displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Go.
Go takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
James lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
James throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

And that's the end of the fight!
Kingston James comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think James has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
