The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Herzog fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Herzog throws a series of punches but Desu moves out of range.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Desu has eaten all the pies!
Desu changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Herzog tries to avoid it but Desu manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Herzog to the ground. Herzog escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Herzog dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Desu has a takedown stuffed.
Desu takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Desu dives in and grabs Herzog's left leg, looking for a takedown. Herzog pushes down on Desu's head and hops out.
Amadeus Herzog has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kawai Desu.
Herzog displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Desu.
