PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mick Penn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ray Gunn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gunn has chosen England belongs to me as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gunn fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Penn, pushing him back against the cage.
Gunn lands a nice elbow from the clinch.

It looks like Mick Penn has been cut.
Gunn gets underhooks to prevent Penn's takedown attempt.
Gunn lands an elbow inside.
Penn drops down looking for an ankle pick but Gunn pulls his leg out and moves away.
Gunn lands with a thumping leg kick.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Penn.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mick Penn. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Penn is breathing heavily.

Gunn clinches up against the cage.

Penn goes for a takedown attempt but Gunn pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Penn closes this distance looking for a takedown but Gunn circles away.

Gunn has taken the fight to the clinch.
Gunn is pressed up against the cage. Penn has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Gunn down to the mat. Gunn avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Penn shoots in looking for a takedown. Gunn tries to sprawl out of it but Penn keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Gunn manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
A thudding body kick lands there by Gunn!
Mick Penn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gunn cracks Penn with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Gunn pushes Penn away with a front kick.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Gunn lands with a nice combination. Penn backs away looking to recover.

Gunn is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Gunn creates some distance and fires off a vicious elbow that drops Penn! He pounces and finishes the fight with more strikes! Nice KO for Gunn.
