Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mikhail Zakhaiev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Denis Chornya (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chornya has chosen SummerSlam Time as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chornya shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Zakhaiev sprawls well. Zakhaiev wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Chornya gets slowly back to his feet.
Denis Chornya seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Zakhaiev is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Chornya is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Chornya can't do much from the bottom here.
Chornya is working to avoid the ground and pound but Zakhaiev connects with a decent elbow.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

and Zakhaiev decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Chornya's guard.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Chornya wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Zakhaiev is trying to control the action in half guard but Chornya is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Chornya is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Zakhaiev's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Zakhaiev's back!
Zakhaiev knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Chornya on the ground.
Zakhaiev is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Chornya.

Zakhaiev shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Chornya manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Chornya wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Chornya is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Zakhaiev frees his head nicely. Oh but Chornya has switched to an armbar! Zakhaiev is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
