Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Royal pain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leifr Eiriksson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Eiriksson's choice of entrance music: Life is wonderful. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Royal pain!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Leifr Eiriksson!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Albert Achterberg and Nard Betker.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Eiriksson shoots in for a takedown but pain shows good takedown defense.
Eiriksson blocks a head kick by pain.
pain plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
No luck for Eiriksson with that takedown attempt.
pain tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Eiriksson shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts pain as he jumps to the side.
Royal pain has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Leifr Eiriksson.
pain throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Eiriksson darts in trying to clinch
and pain counters with an outside leg kick.
pain closes the distance but Eiriksson moves to the side

and Eiriksson counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

pain breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
pain throws a head kick but Eiriksson moves out of range.
A head kick by Eiriksson misses
and pain connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
pain fails with an attempt to clinch.
Royal pain is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Eiriksson closes this distance looking for a takedown but pain circles away.
Eiriksson doesn't manage to clinch there - pain circles away.

Eiriksson closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
pain stops a takedown attempt from Eiriksson.
Eiriksson tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
pain has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

pain is fighting off a takedown attempt but Eiriksson is just too persistent for him and manages to trip pain to the mat. pain regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
