Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jim Cowen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Arshad Singh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Singh has chosen Check it out as his entrance music. Jim Cowen has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cowen tries to clinch there but Singh circles away.
Singh swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Cowen changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Singh tries to avoid it but Cowen manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Singh to the ground. Singh escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Singh looks to throw the jab but Cowen is out of range.
Singh scores with a sloppy right hand. Cowen should have avoided that one.
Singh tries to score with a low kick but Cowen moves his leg out of the way.
Cowen moves in looking to clinch but Singh pushes him off.
Cowen will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Cowen really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Cowen shoots in and bounces Singh off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Singh tries to bum rush Cowen with a series of wild strikes but Cowen uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Singh throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Cowen was covering up waiting for the punch and Singh finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Cowen has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Singh can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Singh is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Cowen doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Singh.

Arshad Singh is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Cowen has his foot on Singh's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Singh works his way back into a safe position though.

Jim Cowen overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Singh got a little sloppy there for a moment and Cowen has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Singh has managed to get both his arms back between Cowen's legs - danger averted.

I would just about give that final round to Arshad Singh.
I've got Singh winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
