Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Simon Monteforte!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Shah Rokhan!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, William Peck and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rokhan changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Monteforte looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Monteforte tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Rokhan wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Monteforte is letting Rokhan control him for a moment.
I looks like Rokhan might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Despite being in the dominant position, Shah Rokhan just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Rokhan feints and then cracks Monteforte's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Monteforte down.

Rokhan throws a leg kick which misses Monteforte's front leg but catches the back leg as Monteforte tries to avoid it.

and Rokhan counters with a nice double leg into guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Well Rokhan has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
