Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Damien Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Clooten (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Clooten has chosen Hot Ride by The Prodigy as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Matt Clooten!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Elvis Blanc and Steve Smith.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Clooten bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Clooten takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Gracie shoots for a double leg takedown but Clooten sprawls well. He's pushed Gracie's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Clooten dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Clooten slaps away a takedown attempt from Gracie, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Clooten smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Clooten lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Gracie backwards.

Gracie has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Clooten avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Clooten throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Gracies head.

Clooten breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Gracie tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Clooten swivels and escapes.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Gracie. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Gracie takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Clooten lands a nice hook to Gracie's body. Gracie takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Clooten uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

Gracie has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Gracie there as he acknowledges the shot.
Clooten fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Gracie.

Clooten drops Gracie with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Gracie looks back up at him and smiles so Clooten waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Gracie is rocked!
Clooten drops Gracie with a straight right hand, right on the button! Clooten follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Matt Clooten!
