Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jhon Holmes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Oscar Perez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Holmes comes into the arena with Bodies, by Drowning Pool blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Perez looks for a takedown but Holmes sprawls well.
Perez dives in and grabs Holmes's left leg, looking for a takedown. Holmes pushes down on Perez's head and hops out.
Oscar Perez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Perez tries for a takedown but Holmes sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Perez shoots in and bounces Holmes off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Holmes's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Holmes got a little sloppy there for a moment and Perez has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Holmes has managed to get both his arms back between Perez's legs - danger averted.
