The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Steel swinging wildly here.
Steel scores with a jab to the head.
Steel takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Steel misses with a body shot
and Firefly counters with a three punch combo that has Steel backing up. Steel nods at Firefly to acknowledge the strikes.
Steel tries to clinch up
and Firefly counters with a left and a right that stings Steel.
Steel scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.

It looks like Baby Firefly has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Steel shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Steel showed some decent athleticism there.
Firefly pushes Steel off looking to stand but Steel dives back in and keeps control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Firefly is refusing to be controlled, as Steel sits in half guard.
Steel lands with a punch from half guard.
Firefly is breathing heavily.
Firefly wants to get back to his feet.

Firefly is defending against the submission attempts here by Steel.
Steel is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Firefly!

Steel lands a heavy elbow.
Steel throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
Firefly in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
Steel fails to take his opponent's back.
Firefly's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Steel looking to secure an arm triangle but Firefly defends it well.

Steel is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Firefly can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Steel moves to back control.

Steel scores with some strikes to the side of the head there. Good, points scoring shots.

Firefly is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.

Steel lands a punch that was close to the back of the head but the ref thinks it's OK.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
