And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jake The Spider!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Saam Ante and Paulsen Ambrosius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wiggin goes for a high kick. It partially lands.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Wiggin tries to kick The Spider off but The Spider keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
The Spider is pressing down on Wiggin's thigh, looking to free his foot. Wiggin is holding on for now.
The Spider thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Wiggin's head.

The Spider wants to control but Wiggin is keeping him busy.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Wiggin tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Andrew Wiggin is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Wiggin tries to clinch up but The Spider circles away and keeps his distance.
Wiggin plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!


It looks like Jake The Spider has been cut.
Wiggin tries to close the distance and clinch up but The Spider swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Wiggin tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Wiggin tries to clinch up but The Spider circles away and keeps his distance.

The Spider bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The Spider works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
The Spider creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
The Spider landing a few strikes.
The Spider grinds an elbow into Wiggin's temple.
The Spider wants to lay and pray for a moment but Wiggin keeps working.
Wiggin wants to get back to his feet but The Spider drags him back down.

The Spider wants to control but Wiggin is keeping him busy.
Wiggin takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Wiggin is looking to get back to his feet here but The Spider is keeping cool and he's managed to take Wiggin's back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The Spider is landing with strikes from the back.
The Spider lands a shot to the body.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The Spider lands with a big left hand that may well have hurt his opponent. Can Wiggin hold on?!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jake The Spider dominated that round.

Wiggin pushes The Spider away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, The Spider gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
The Spider wants to control but Wiggin is keeping him busy.
The Spider advances nicely into full mount.
The Spider wants to control the pace but Wiggin is squirming around nicely.
Wiggin takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
The Spider in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.

The Spider breaks from Wiggin's wrist control and lands an elbow.
The Spider lands a big shot there that rocks Wiggin but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Wiggin is squirming around, avoiding The Spider's attempts to control the action.
The Spider sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
The Spider working the ground and pound effectively.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wiggin wants to try and get back to his feet.
The Spider looking to finish Wiggin with some ground and pound. This is bad for Wiggin!

The Spider trying to control but Wiggin is having none of it.
The Spider is in the full mount, landing strikes.


Wiggin is rocked!
The Spider lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Oh Wiggin is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
The Spider scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Wiggin?
The Spider is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Wiggin can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

The Spider lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
The Spider breaks from Wiggin's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
The Spider lands a big shot to the head and Wiggin winces in pain. He's tapped out due to strikes!
