Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ibbe Ribbler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Romano S (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ribbler comes to the cage accompanied by Madball - For My Enemies. Romano S will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ibbe Ribbler!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Romano S!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Radbod Blank and Wagner Zegers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ribbler takes a kick to the side of the head.


It looks like Ibbe Ribbler has been cut.

S clinches up with Ribbler and pushes him back against the cage.
Ribbler tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. S just stands there and leans against the cage.
Ribbler is looking to break free of the clinch but S has double underhooks.

Ribbler pulls guard successfully.
Ribbler bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in S's guard.

Ribbler drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Ribbler jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Ribbler drops back looking for a leg! S is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and S manages to kick Ribbler off! Ribbler jumps back into S's guard.

Ribbler is working for a submission of some sort.

Ribbler is looking for a kimura but S is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Ribbler to get the leverage.

S kicks Ribbler off and gets back to his feet.
Nice sprawl there from S as Ribbler shoots in.
S scores with a kick to the body.
Ribbler is breathing heavily.

S clinches up with Ribbler and pushes him back against the cage.
Ribbler jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as S walks away with a smile on his face. Ribbler gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ibbe Ribbler. That's going to take a lot out of him.

S closes the distance and clinches.
S lands an elbow just above Ribbler 's eye.
Ribbler fails to pull the fight into his guard.
S effectively controlling the action here.
Ribbler tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. S smiles and moves away.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
S wants to clinch up but Ribbler keeps it at a distance.
No luck for Ribbler with that takedown attempt.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
S wants to clinch.
S doesn't manage to clinch there - Ribbler circles away.
Ribbler keeps the fight on the outside.
Ribbler shoots in for a double leg but S sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

S clinches.
S misses with an elbow strike.
S dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage.

Ribbler can't break the clinch.
S lands a nice elbow.
S keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Ribbler's efforts to push away.
Ribbler wants to break the clinch but can't.
Ribbler is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
S lands an elbow inside.
S pressing his opponent against the cage.
S comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Ribbler avoiding damage as S throws knees to the body.
S lands an elbow just above Ribbler 's eye.
S pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Ribbler tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Ibbe Ribbler's cut is getting worse.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Ribbler.
Ribbler misses with a hook to the ribs.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
S comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
S's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Romano S dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Ibbe Ribbler's cut.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Ribbler shoots in looking for a takedown. S tries to sprawl out of it but Ribbler keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. S manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
S tries to clinch up but Ribbler circles away and keeps his distance.
Ribbler misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
S fails with an attempt to clinch.
Ribbler throws the left hand but S avoids the punch easily.
S throws a quick head kick that knocks Ribbler silly! This fight is all over! What a finish! S is up on the cage, taking in the applause from the crowd.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:44 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Romano S!
