Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ogami Itto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Dick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Itto comes to the cage accompanied by The Gods Made Heavy Metal. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ogami Itto!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Frank Dick!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Wagner Zegers and Albert Achterberg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dick tries to close the distance and clinch up but Itto swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Dick scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.

Dick is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Itto is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Dick takes a little break here. Itto wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Itto is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Dick asserts his dominance and retains side control.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Dick is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Itto knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Dick controlling the position from side mount.
Itto knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Dick on the ground.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Dick trying to control the action but Itto is working from the bottom.

Dick thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Dick misses with the ground and pound.
Dick trying to control the position but Itto is working away.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
The fighters circling - Itto throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Itto throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Dick tries to clinch up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Frank Dick dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


A telegraphed right hand from Itto misses the target.
Itto misses with a straight left.

Itto connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Dick tries to clinch up.
Frank Dick is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Dick looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Itto is fending him off so far but Dick persists. Nope, Itto circles away and we're back to standing.
Dick moves out of range as Itto strikes.

Itto scores with a one two! Dick had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Dick scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.

Dick clinches.
Dick has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Itto avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Itto has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Dick keeps control of Itto as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Itto breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

A big right from Itto misses.
Itto uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Dick has time to react.
Dick avoids the body shot from Itto.
Itto misses with a looping left.
Itto circles away from the clinch attempt.
Dick tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Itto swivels and escapes.
Ogami Itto has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Frank Dick.
Itto throws a lazy right hand but Dick sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Dick moves out of range of the strikes.
No luck for Dick with that takedown attempt.
Dick tries to clinch up but Itto circles away and keeps his distance.
Dick shoots for a double leg takedown but Itto sprawls well. He's pushed Dick's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Dick ducks under a wild hook from Itto.
Dick takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Dick keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Itto.
Dick has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Itto looks to land a left hand but Dick moved out of range nicely.
Dick checks a leg kick.

Dick feints and as Itto raises his hands in defense, Dick changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Itto keeping moving, preventing Dick from controlling successfully.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ogami Itto dominated that second round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!


Itto throws a lazy right hand but Dick sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Dick uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Itto.
Itto just misses with a punch to the body.
Itto misses with an uppercut. Dick saw that one coming.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dick tries to close the distance and clinch but Itto swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Dick wants to clinch up but Itto keeps it at a distance.
Ogami Itto is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Itto lands a jab.
Dick checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Dick moves in looking to clinch but Itto pushes him off.
Dick bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Itto circles away from the clinch attempt.
Itto throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Itto throws a jab but it's blocked by Dick.
Itto throws a big shot that misses.
Itto lands with a good body shot.
Dick moves out of range of the strikes.
Dick shoots for a double leg takedown but Itto sprawls well. He's pushed Dick's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Dick misses the body punch
and Itto connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Dick tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Itto counters with a stiff right hand.
Dick closes the distance and clinches up with Itto, looking for a takedown. Dick pushes Itto against the cage but Itto circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

and Itto counters with a nice uppercut.
Dick shoots in for a takedown but Itto shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Ogami Itto has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Frank Dick.

Itto misses with a hook.
Dick tries to clinch up
and Itto counters with a nice body shot.
Itto ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Dick takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Dick moves away from the strike by Itto.
Itto throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

And that's the end of the fight!
Ogami Itto showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Itto has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
