Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Marco Castillo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rob Tree (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rob Tree is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Marco Castillo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Rob Tree!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Donald Grub and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tree misses with a double jab.
Castillo shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Tree defends it nicely.
Tree works over Castillo's head and body with a nice combination.
Castillo avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Tree tries to clinch up but Castillo circles away and keeps his distance.
Rob Tree seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tree throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Castillo's head.
Castillo takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.


Castillo is rocked!
Tree misses with a two punch combination.

Castillo closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Tree did well to prevent Castillo getting side control.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Castillo is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Tree defends it well.

Castillo is working for a kimura but Tree is defending it quite comfortably.
Castillo is breathing heavily.

Castillo is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Tree sees it coming and defends easily.

Castillo is working for a submission of some sort.

Castillo is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Tree defends it well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Castillo wants to work for an arm triangle but Tree is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Tree wants to get back to his feet.

Castillo is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Tree defends it well.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
A nice inside leg kick there by Tree. That's going to slow Castillo down.
Tree throws a nice head kick!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Castillo takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Tree tries for a takedown but Castillo circles away easily

and Castillo counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Tree's guard now.
Tree is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Castillo drops back looking for a leg! Tree is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Tree manages to kick Castillo off! Castillo jumps back into Tree's guard.

Castillo postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Tree is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Castillo, into his guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Tree wants to get up but he can't break Castillo's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Castillo is looking to sweep but instead, Tree has passed into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Castillo actively working from the bottom here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Tree is trying to control. Castillo wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rob Tree dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Castillo avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Tree is looking to clinch but Castillo is avoiding it.
Tree throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Castillo's waist but Castillo gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Tree off to one side.

Tree drops Castillo with a beautiful combination! Castillo stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Tree is looking for the KO!
Oh Castillo is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!


It looks like Marco Castillo has been cut.
Tree lands a nice looking body kick.
Castillo seems to have got his legs back now.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Tree has closed the distance and engaged Castillo in a clinch.
Castillo prevents Tree from breaking the clinch.
Tree tries to pull guard but Castillo won't allow it.

Tree manages to break the clinch.

Tree lands a left and a right that send Castillo crashing to the mat, dazed. Tree thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Tree tries to clinch but Castillo is having none of it.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Castillo keeps the fight on the outside.
Tree dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Tree connects with a body shot.

Tree lands a big head kick that sends Castillo tumbling to the mat! Tree takes a step backwards and waves Castillo back to his feet - he wants the finish!
An inside leg kick lands from Tree.
Castillo defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Tree.
Marco Castillo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rob Tree.
Tree throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Tree fails in his attempt to clinch.

Tree closes the distance and clinches.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
A frustrated look appears on Tree's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Tree is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

Tree escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Tree scores with a head kick.
Tree tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Castillo takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Castillo stuffs the takedown.
Tree shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Castillo as he jumps to the side.
Tree wants to clinch up but Castillo keeps it at a distance.
Rob Tree is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Tree lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

Tree lands a big head kick that sends Castillo tumbling to the mat! Tree takes a step backwards and waves Castillo back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Tree lands a brutal head kick. Castillo looks out on his feet and Tree throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:25 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Kick and Punches). Rob Tree!
