Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Abe Nakamura (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yoshiaki Urai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nakamura comes to the ring accompanied by Enter the Ninja - Die Antwoord. The crowd seem to be enjoying Urai's choice of entrance music: Japan Will Kick Your Ass. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Abe Nakamura!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Yoshiaki Urai!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Kenichi Hosakawa and Yuuki Gou.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Urai tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Urai looks to land a right hand but Nakamura moved out of range.
Urai tries a head kick but it misses.
Nakamura shoots in and drives through. Urai sprawls well.
A leg kick checked by Nakamura.
Urai plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Urai just misses with a punch to the body.
Yoshiaki Urai seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Urai misses with a low kick.
Urai throws the kick towards the body but Nakamura avoids it.
Nakamura ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Urai is looking to clinch but Nakamura is avoiding it.
Urai tries to clinch up but Nakamura circles away and keeps his distance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Nakamura shoots in and bounces Urai off the ropes to secure the takedown into guard.

Nakamura drops back looking for a leg! Urai is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Urai manages to kick Nakamura off! Nakamura jumps back into Urai's guard.

Nakamura passes into half guard.

Nakamura is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Urai is just riding it out for now. Nakamura eventually gives up the hold.

Nakamura is working for a submission of some sort.

Nakamura is looking for a kimura here.

Nakamura is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Nakamura stops Urai from getting back to his feet.
Nakamura is keen to just control but Urai is a slippery customer.

Nakamura is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Nakamura seems to be working for a kimura but Urai defends the submission attempt.
Urai is trying to stand up here but Nakamura is controlling him well.

Urai is refusing to be controlled, as Nakamura sits in half guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Well, if Nakamura is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Nakamura looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Nakamura is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Urai doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Nakamura.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Urai has one foot on Nakamura's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Abe Nakamura dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Nakamura slips a jab from Urai.

Nakamura shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Urai manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Nakamura stands and throws Urai's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Urai is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Nakamura asserts his dominance and retains side control.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Nakamura is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Urai knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Nakamura is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Urai looks calm but he's in trouble here. Nakamura gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Urai is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Nakamura lets go of the hold and Urai can pop his arm back in it's socket.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Abe Nakamura!
