The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cordero misses with a double jab.
Musashi is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Musashi feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Musashi wants to stand but Cordero has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Musashi looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

Musashi decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Cordero, up you get!
Musashi fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Musashi is pinned up against the ropes taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Musashi shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Cordero as he avoids it easily.
Musashi defending well as Cordero loads up on a big left hand.
Musashi takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Musashi shoots in for a takedown but Cordero shows good takedown defense.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Miyamoto Musashi . That's going to take a lot out of him.
Musashi drops his hands momentarily and Cordero takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Cordero scores with a sloppy right hand. Musashi should have avoided that one.
Musashi shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Musashi is breathing heavily.
Musashi closes the distance and clinches up with Cordero, looking for a takedown. Musashi pushes Cordero against the ropes but Cordero circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Eli Cordero is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Musashi tries to score a power double leg takedown but Cordero sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Musashi somewhat.
Cordero cracks Musashi with a good jab.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Cordero lands a big right hand that sends Musashi crashing to the mat! Cordero stays standing though and waves Musashi back to his feet!

Musashi is rocked!
Musashi dodges the punch combination from Cordero.
Cordero lands with a straight right. Musashi didn't see that one coming.
Oh Musashi is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Cordero throws a right and a left that Musashi avoids nicely.
Musashi seems to have got his legs back now.
Cordero fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Musashi fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Cordero lands a two punch combo.
Cordero lands with a big right hook that stumbles Musashi - he's out on his feet here! Cordero follows up with another monster hook that separates Musashi from consciousness! Musashi falls, almost in slow motion to the canvas! Cordero stands and admires his work as the crowd go wild.
