Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Sagara!


It looks like DYEP GARCIA has been cut.
GARCIA lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Sagara swats away the attempt to clinch by GARCIA.

GARCIA moves into the clinch.
Sagara tries for a takedown but GARCIA manages to get underhooks.
Sagara is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but GARCIA is keeping busy.

Sagara could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
GARCIA jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Sagara walks away with a smile on his face. GARCIA gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

and GARCIA counters with a head kick. That will keep Sagara thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

GARCIA goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Sagara rolls with the submission and now he's on top in GARCIA's guard! Nice work there by Sagara!
GARCIA is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
GARCIA thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

Sagara might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
GARCIA controls Sagara momentarily but Sagara frees himself.

GARCIA has control of Sagara's left arm, preventing Sagara from doing any damage.
Sagara wants to get up but he can't break GARCIA's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Sagara moves into range and clinches up with GARCIA.

Sagara slaps away a takedown attempt from GARCIA, before circling back to the center of the mat.

GARCIA is trying to maintain a safe position but Sagara gets an underhook and turns GARCIA into the cage.

GARCIA keeps control of Sagara as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Sagara lands with a light punch inside.

Sagara escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Sagara closes the distance but GARCIA moves to the side
and GARCIA counters with a leg kick.
Sagara fails to land with a series of punches.
Sagara throws a lazy head kick
and GARCIA counters with a left and a right that stings Sagara.

GARCIA shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Sagara's guard.

GARCIA decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
GARCIA stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and GARCIA wants it to stay on the feet.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Sagara tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
GARCIA shoots for a takedown but Sagara saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Sagara shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. GARCIA manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

GARCIA shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Sagara as he jumps to the side.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Sagara tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but GARCIA paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Sagara throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

GARCIA is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Sagara's half guard.
GARCIA is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Sagara on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Sagara tries to get out of the position.
GARCIA takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Sagara regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from GARCIA.
GARCIA is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as GARCIA accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

GARCIA lands a couple of elbows.

GARCIA decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Sagara, up you get!
GARCIA shoots in and drives through. Sagara sprawls well.

GARCIA shoots in looking for a takedown. Sagara tries to sprawl out of it but GARCIA keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Sagara manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

GARCIA actively working from the bottom here.

Sagara wants to stand up but GARCIA is controlling the position.
GARCIA is concentrating on defense, preventing Sagara from advancing position.

GARCIA is looking for a sweep. Sagara is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that souske Sagara will probably get the nod.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Sagara manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
GARCIA digs a right hand underneath Sagara's ribcage. Sagara let out a lung full of air as it connected.
GARCIA can't break the clinch.
GARCIA jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Sagara walks away with a smile on his face. GARCIA gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

DYEP GARCIA has got the better of the ground game so far.

Sagara is working an open guard so GARCIA takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

DYEP GARCIA comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well GARCIA has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
