Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mike Andrews (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and phil mcracken (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). phil mcracken will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mike Andrews!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, phil mcracken!
The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Mauricio Rocha and Edson Gomes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
mcracken misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Nice sprawl there from Andrews as mcracken shoots in.
mcracken throws a body punch but Andrews moves out of range.
mcracken tries to close the distance and clinch up but Andrews swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Andrews moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.


It looks like phil mcracken has been cut.

Andrews fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. mcracken sprawls well initially but Andrews persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Andrews tries for a kimura but mcracken is defending well.
mcracken tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Andrews wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Andrews goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, mcracken has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Andrews but great work by mcracken.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Andrews is in a bad spot here and he knows it... just holding on for now.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
mcracken is a very stocky fighter. Infact he's such a weird shape that he's almost like some sort of comedy character - it's hard to believe he's real.
Andrews chipping away with body shots but they're not going to hurt mcracken.
mcracken can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Andrews is looking to escape.

mcracken is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Andrews to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Andrews shrugs it off.

Andrews is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because mcracken is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Andrews is bucking up trying to escape but mcracken cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Andrews is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
