Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Billy Goat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Renato Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gracie is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Bring Da Ruckus. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Billy Goat!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

11 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Renato Gracie!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Gwen Towbar and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Goat throws a push kick but Gracie slaps the foot to one side.
Horrible takedown by Gracie or perhaps it was just good defense by Goat which made him look bad.
Gracie shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Gracie showed some decent athleticism there.
Goat trying to get back to full guard but Gracie takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount!
Gracie tries to control but Goat wriggling away.
Gracie thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
Gracie lands a nice shot to the head.
Goat is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Gracie tries to pass the half guard into mount. Goat knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Goat wants to clinch up but Gracie keeps it at a distance.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Gracie avoids a punch combination nicely.
Goat throws a body kick that misses.
Goat stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Goat wants it to stay on the feet.
Gracie shoots in looking for a takedown. Goat tries to sprawl out of it but Gracie keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Goat manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Billy Goat has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Renato Gracie.

Goat is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Gracie changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Goat tries to avoid it but Gracie manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Goat to the ground. Goat escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Gracie scores with a hook to the body. Goat takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Gracie takes a swing at Goat's ribcage but misses.
Goat lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Gracie throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
The fighters circling - Gracie throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Goat steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Gracie.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Gracie throws a left and a right that both miss
and Goat counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.

It looks like Billy Goat has been cut.
Gracie connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Goat's hands.
Gracie throws a shot from downtown. Goat moves away and avoids it.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

and Goat counters with an inside leg kick.
Gracie gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Goat counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Goat pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.

Renato Gracie showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

I would just about give that final round to Renato Gracie.
