Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Marco Rua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Vera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Rua might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to KILLER performed by Drake. Vera comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Black Eyed Peas - Bebot kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Marco Rua could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Michael Vera's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vera throws a leg kick that misses.
Vera goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Vera - that will leave a mark!
Vera blocks a head kick by Rua.
Vera avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Rua throws out a leg kick but Vera moves out of range and Rua only half commits.
Vera feints and then cracks Rua's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Rua down.
A slapping leg kick lands for Vera.
Rua is breathing heavily.
Rua tries to clinch but Vera moves out of range.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Rua.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Vera misses with the combination.
Rua on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Vera. Vera obviously looking to wear him down.

Vera lands a left and a right that send Rua crashing to the mat, dazed. Vera thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

It looks like Marco Rua has been cut.
Vera lands a nice shot to the body.

Vera fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Rua looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Vera lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Rua on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Vera scores with a push kick.

Vera throws a head kick but Rua moves out of range.

Vera throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Vera buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Rua tries to move into range but Vera moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
A good leg kick by Vera.
Vera lands a head kick. Rua smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

Rua is rocked!

Marco Rua's cut is getting worse.
Vera measures up his opponent and throws a superman punch that connects to the jaw! Down goes Rua! The ref steps in, and that's the ball game folks!
