Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Xavier Jackson!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Johnson shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Johnson showed some decent athleticism there.

Johnson tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Johnson has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Johnson has Jackson pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Johnson pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Jackson tumbling to the mat - Johnson dives into Jackson's guard.
Jackson is looking to stand up but Johnson isn't so interested in that idea.
Johnson wants to control from the top but Jackson keeps moving.
Jackson throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.

Johnson displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Jackson throws out the jab.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Johnson takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
