Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Philip Power (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Biff Webster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 9 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Philip Power!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 6 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Biff Webster!
The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Igor Prikhodko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Power scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Webster doesn't seem bothered though.
Webster is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Nice body kick there by Power.
Webster looks gassed!
Webster closes the distance and clinches up with Power, looking for a takedown. Webster pushes Power against the cage but Power circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Power throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Power tries a head kick but it misses.
Power buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Power throws a head kick but Webster moves out of range.
A slapping leg kick lands for Power.
Power fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

Philip Power seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Power tries a head kick but it misses.
Webster chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Power can pounce on him.
Power pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Webster ducks right into an uppercut from Power.
Power lands a nice leg kick that just misses Webster's sensitive parts.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Power!
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Webster crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Power - the referee stops the clock and Webster gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Power. Webster manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Webster takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Power moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Webster throws a low kick but it's checked well by Power.
Power displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Webster.
Webster changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Power tries to avoid it but Webster manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Power to the ground. Power escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Philip Power has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Biff Webster.
Power tries a head kick but it misses.
Philip Power is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Webster doesn't manage to clinch there - Power circles away.
Webster blocks a head kick by Power.
Power fails in his attempt to clinch.
Power misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Webster scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Webster tries to pass the half guard into mount. Power knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Power is trying to get back to full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Webster trying to pass the guard but Power defending well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Webster throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Webster is looking for a kimura here.
Webster throwing shots but Power is blocking nicely.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Webster working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Power's thigh. Power counters though and makes it back to full guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Power misses with a head kick.
Power throws a leg kick that is checked

and Webster counters with a shoot takedown. Power fights it but they end up in guard.

Webster postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Power is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Webster, into his guard.
Power is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Power trying to control the position from guard on top but Webster is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Power advances to half guard.
Power controlling the action here.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Webster is trying to get back to full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Philip Power dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Webster on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Power ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Webster moves away.
Power throws a sloppy head kick and Webster moves out of range easily.
Power wants to clinch

so Webster counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Power keeping full guard, as Webster tries to pass.
Webster stopping the sweep attempt from Power.
Webster wants to pass the guard but Power is keeping the position.
Webster is breathing heavily.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Power is on top in guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Webster is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Power is controlling him.

Power stands up from Webster's guard - Power perhaps looking for a knockout.
Webster looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Power, as that shot connected.


It looks like Biff Webster has been cut.

Power lands a big head kick that sends Webster tumbling to the mat! Power takes a step backwards and waves Webster back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Ohhhhhhhhhh, brutal head kick from Power! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:24 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Philip Power!
