The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Brown gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Brown wants to stand and escape but Jeremy is having none of it.
Jeremy wants to stand but Brown is controlling his posture from full guard.
Brown wants to get back to his feet but Jeremy passes into half guard.
Brown looks like he's trying to stand up.
Brown is striking from the bottom but he's now found himself mounted! Oh dear - not enough focus on defense there.
Brown is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Brown is squirming around, avoiding Jeremy's attempts to control the action.

Brown is trying escape back to his feet. He turns into his opponent's guard and eventually finds his way back to his feet.

Jeremy is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Brown is just riding it out for now. Jeremy eventually gives up the hold.
Brown keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Brown tries to kick Jeremy off in order to stand up. Jeremy Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
Brown throws a couple of punches but he's in a bad position and they don't land.
Brown can't do much from the bottom here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Good work by Jeremy as he checks the leg kick.
Brown shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Jeremy slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Brown fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Brown misses with a body shot.
Jeremy tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Jeremy gets caught flat footed, as Brown shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Jeremy bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Brown's guard.

Brown wants to control but Jeremy is keeping busy and won't allow it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Brown is trying to escape back to his feet but Jeremy uses the scramble to pass into side control.

Jeremy decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Jeremy shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Brown defends it nicely.

Brown throws a hook but Jeremy avoids it easily.

and Jeremy counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Jeremy wants a takedown.
Jeremy drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Brown gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Marvin Brown has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Donnie Jeremy.
Brown connects with a knee to the head.
Brown lands a shoulder strike.

Brown has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Jeremy uses from the top position.

Jeremy stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Brown swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Jeremy decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Brown throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Marvin Brown seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Brown fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Jeremy, pushing him back against the cage.
A short left from Brown.
Jeremy lands a nice knee to the body.
Brown jumps guard but Jeremy stands there with Brown around his waist. Brown gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Jeremy tries for a takedown. No joy.
Jeremy takes a knee to the side of the body.
Brown trying to stall but Jeremy improves his position.
Jeremy tries to land a knee to the head but Brown blocks with his arms.
Brown blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Brown misses with a knee to the head.

Jeremy wants the takedown. Brown is fighting it off but Jeremy persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Brown's guard against the cage.
Brown will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Brown wants to stand up but Jeremy is controlling him.

Jeremy stands up from Brown's guard - Jeremy perhaps looking for a knockout.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Jeremy.

Donnie Jeremy showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Brown's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Brown throws a left and a right that both miss
and Jeremy counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Brown throws a quick inside leg kick.
Brown keeps the fight on the outside.
Brown misses with a body kick.
Brown shoots in but Jeremy avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Jeremy wants to clinch up but Brown keeps it at a distance.

Brown moves into the clinch.

Jeremy decides to pull guard.
Jeremy wants to stand and escape but Brown is having none of it.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Jeremy tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Brown wants to stand and escape but instead Jeremy has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Brown manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Jeremy lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.

Brown closes the distance and clinches.

Brown breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Jeremy fails in his attempt to clinch.
Jeremy throws a sloppy head kick and Brown moves out of range easily.

Brown prevents the takedown attempt.
Brown is trying to force a seperation but Jeremy has the dominant position.
Brown gets underhooks to prevent Jeremy's takedown attempt.
Jeremy throws a knee to the head but misses.
Jeremy tries a knee to the head but Brown blocks it.
Donnie Jeremy is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Brown can't break the clinch.
Brown wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Brown is trying to stall.
Jeremy blocks an uppercut.
Brown lands a shoulder strike.
A frustrated look appears on Brown's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Jeremy jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Brown walks away with a smile on his face. Jeremy gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

and Jeremy cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Jeremy shoots and misses
and Brown counters with a left and a right that stings Jeremy.
Jeremy tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Brown swivels and escapes.
Left hook, right uppercut from Brown.


It looks like Donnie Jeremy has been cut.
Brown misses with a double jab.
Jeremy throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Brown fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Jeremy tries to clinch but Brown is having none of it.

Jeremy throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Brown was covering up waiting for the punch and Jeremy finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Jeremy decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Brown, up you get!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Jeremy lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Brown fails to land the takedown.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Jeremy is defended easily by Brown.

Jeremy closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Marvin Brown has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
This has been an exciting period of action!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Brown throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Brown wants to get back to his feet.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Marvin Brown.
I think Jeremy has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
