PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kron Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lucio Abdias (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gracie comes to the cage accompanied by Slayer - Here Comes The Pain. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Kron Gracie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Lucio Abdias!
The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Paulo Santos and Alexandre Firmino.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gracie forces Abdias back against the cage and clinches.
Abdias jumps guard but Gracie stands there with Abdias around his waist. Abdias gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Abdias tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Gracie just stands there and leans against the cage.
Abdias tries to pull guard but Gracie holds him up against the cage and eventually Abdias drops back down to his feet.
Kron Gracie has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lucio Abdias.

Abdias gets control of Gracie's arms and successfully pulls guard. Abdias will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Abdias can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Gracie controls the pace.
Gracie pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Abdias is keeping the position for now.

Abdias has his foot on Gracie's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Gracie works his way back into a safe position though.
Gracie trying to control the position from guard on top but Abdias is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Abdias escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Gracie gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Abdias tries to land a sweep but no joy.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Abdias fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Gracie avoids it really well and circles away.
Abdias looks gassed!
Abdias fails to land the takedown.

Gracie lands a left and a right that send Abdias crashing to the mat, dazed. Gracie thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Abdias is rocked!

It looks like Lucio Abdias has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Gracie lands a nice hook to Abdias's body. Abdias takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Abdias is still on wobbly legs! Can Gracie finish him?
Gracie grits his teeth and throws a big right-left combo! Abdias takes both shots clean on the chin and is out cold! Gracie cracks him once more on his way down, as the crowd goes wild! They enjoyed that one!
