These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
abbas throws the left hand but Schiesaro avoids the punch easily.
A telegraphed right hand from abbas misses the target.
Good standup being displayed there by abbas as he connects with a hook.
abbas loads up on a big right hand but Schiesaro slips the punch.
Schiesaro ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Schiesaro slips under a jab from abbas.
Schiesaro uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from abbas.
Schiesaro slips a straight right by abbas.
Decent striking displayed by abbas there.
Schiesaro avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
abbas misses with an uppercut. Schiesaro saw that one coming.
A big left from abbas misses.
nafees abbas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

abbas closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
abbas wants to stand up but Schiesaro has a hold of him and won't allow it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Schiesaro wants to sweep but no luck.

abbas tries to free his leg and advance position but Schiesaro is retaining full guard.
abbas really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Schiesaro. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Schiesaro is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! abbas rolls with it to try and escape but Schiesaro cranks on the arm and abbas is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
