Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Okan Topal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Drapeau (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Drapeau closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Drapeau wants to control but Topal is keeping him busy.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Drapeau is looking to stall here but Topal recovers full guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Drapeau accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

It looks like Okan Topal has been cut.
Topal jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Drapeau walks away with a smile on his face. Topal gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Drapeau gets caught flat footed, as Topal shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Drapeau is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Topal looking to sit in guard and control but Drapeau gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Topal is breathing heavily.

Drapeau misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Drapeau stands up and beckons Topal to join him on the feet.
Topal tries to close the distance and clinch but Drapeau swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

The referee warns Topal that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Drapeau fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
