PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Esko Morko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hank Brun (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Morko might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to The Sound Of Thunder. Brun has chosen "Pump Up the Jam" by The Lost Fingers as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Esko Morko!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hank Brun!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Yukihiro Yamamoto.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Morko on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Brun fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Brun tries to work over Morko's front leg with a kick but Morko checks it.
Morko scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Brun is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Brun lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Brun explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Brun thows a body kick. Morko tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Morko lands with a hook. Brun tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Morko rushes Brun and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Brun is trying to break free.
Morko lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Morko obliges.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Brun tries to break the clinch but Morko is controlling the position.
Brun looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Morko lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.

Brun pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Brun throws a head kick that half lands.
Morko fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Hank Brun seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Brun looks gassed!
Morko throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Morko bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

It looks like Hank Brun has been cut.
The fight stays on the outside here - Morko looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

That's one minute gone in the round.
A nice leg kick lands there from Morko.
Morko throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

Morko gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
A short body shot lands from Morko as the two fighters clinch.
Morko with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.
Brun's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

Brun is rocked!
Morko working the clinch nicely. Brun is working for position but Morko cracks him with a big knee to the head! Brun crumples up against the cage and Morko lands two more shots before the ref can save Brun! This one is all over!
