And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Nard Betker and Paulsen Ambrosius.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maxwell throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

Sonnen moves into the clinch successfully.

Sonnen pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Maxwell sizes up Sonnen with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Maxwell ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Sonnen moves away.
Sonnen misses with a double jab.
Maxwell has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

It looks like Ken Maxwell has been cut.
Sonnen throws a hook but Maxwell blocks it.
Sonnen lands a jab to Maxwell's midsection.
Sonnen looks to score with a jab to the body but Maxwell is just out of range.
Maxwell throws a series of punches but Sonnen avoids them all with ease.
Maxwell showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Sonnen.
Sonnen misses with an uppercut.
Maxwell looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Maxwell misses with a straight right.
Maxwell stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Maxwell paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

It looks like Hary Sonnen has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Sonnen lands a jab to Maxwell's midsection.

Sonnen swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Sonnen scores with a jab to the body.
Maxwell misses with a looping left.
Sonnen throws a nice looking combination but Maxwell bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Sonnen takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
The fighters circling - Sonnen throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
A swing and a miss from Maxwell.
Maxwell throws a one two combo.

and Sonnen counters by clinching up.
Sonnen is still on wobbly legs! Can Maxwell finish him?
Maxwell keeps control of Sonnen as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Maxwell creates some distance for himselfand unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Sonnen's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Sonnen drops to his knees and Maxwell pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
