Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ashot Agopyan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brett Spencer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Agopyan comes to the cage accompanied by Aram Asatryan-Hay Es Du. Brett Spencer will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spencer fails with a takedown attempt.
Spencer throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Spencer tries to close the distance and clinch but Agopyan swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Spencer misses with a takedown attempt - Agopyan sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Agopyan leaves Spencer with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Spencer tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Agopyan paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Agopyan connects with a series of strikes and the referee is calling for Spencer to escape the position.
Spencer is trying to break free.

Spencer is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Agopyan gets his way!

Spencer manages to reverse the position and now he's in Agopyan's guard. Nice work there by Spencer.

Agopyan is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Spencer is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Spencer has escaped and now he's on top!
