Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dutch Schaeffer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcio Capas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dutch Schaeffer had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dutch Schaeffer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Marcio Capas!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Aafke Stam and Albert Achterberg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schaeffer avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Schaeffer is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Capas's half guard.

Schaeffer wants to work for an arm triangle but Capas is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Capas tries to kick Schaeffer off but Schaeffer keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Schaeffer is working for a kimura but Capas is defending it quite comfortably.

Capas really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Schaeffer. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Capas swings wildly with an uppercut but Schaeffer uses good head movement to avoid it.
Capas keeps control of Schaeffer as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

It looks like Dutch Schaeffer has been cut.
Capas unloads a knee to the mid-section. Schaeffer lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Capas takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Capas is looking to control Schaeffer's arms but Schaeffer gets an underhook and turns him. Now Capas has his back to the cage.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Capas lands a hook that snaps the head of Schaeffer backwards.
Capas throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Schaeffer blocks it with crossed arms.
Schaeffer tries to pull guard but Capas holds him up against the cage and eventually Schaeffer drops back down to his feet.

Schaeffer turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Marcio Capas dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Dutch Schaeffer's cut.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Capas tries to clinch but Schaeffer moves away

and Schaeffer counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Schaeffer drops back looking for a leg! Capas is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Capas manages to kick Schaeffer off! Schaeffer jumps back into Capas's guard.
Schaeffer wants to pass the guard but Capas is keeping the position.

Schaeffer thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Capas is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Capas wants to get back to his feet but Schaeffer is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Schaeffer wants to pass the guard but Capas is keeping the position.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Capas tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Schaeffer holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Capas lands a knee to the head.
Capas tries to land a knee to the head but Schaeffer blocks with his arms.

Schaeffer jumps guard.

Capas is sitting in close to Schaeffer's body. Schaeffer has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Capas is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Capas is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Schaeffer.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:50 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Dutch Schaeffer!
