PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sasa Gusi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ground Pound (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gusi kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Ekipa- BGD Syndicate. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gusi looks to throw the jab but Pound is out of range.
Pound misses with a series of wild punches.
Pound shoots in for a double leg but Gusi sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Pound fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Pound looks gassed!

Gusi gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Pound to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Pound got a little sloppy there for a moment and Gusi has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Pound has managed to get both his arms back between Gusi's legs - danger averted.
Gusi manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Gusi is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Pound to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Pound shrugs it off.
Pound can't escape the position.
Gusi wants to control the pace but Pound is squirming around nicely.
Gusi lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Pound tries to reverse the position but Gusi maintains control.

Gusi jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Pound manages to avoid the submission attempt.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Check out the look on Gusi's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!

Gusi is working to tighten is grip on Pound's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Pound has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Gusi is really squeezing tight and eventually Pound passes out! Gusi breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
