The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thompson throws out a loose jab but towles uses good head movement to avoid it.
towles ducks under a wild hook from Thompson.
towles shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Thompson but Thompson pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Horrible takedown by towles or perhaps it was just good defense by Thompson which made him look bad.
