Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mark Evans (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcus Dillinger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Dillinger's choice of entrance music: Randy Orten Theme Song. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mark Evans!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Marcus Dillinger!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Joseph Jones and John Roberts.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Evans throws a half hearted mid kick.
Dillinger doesn't manage to clinch there - Evans circles away.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Evans blocks the elbow strike.

Evans breaks from the clinch.
Evans takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Dillinger cracks Evans with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Dillinger fails with an attempt to clinch.

Dillinger takes the fight into the clinch.

Evans scores with a takedown into Dillinger's guard.
Evans landing some decent shots from guard.
Dillinger is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Dillinger is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Evans has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Dillinger jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Evans is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Evans and Dillinger has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Dillinger has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Evans bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Evans is keen to just control but Dillinger is a slippery customer.

Evans misses with a head shot. Dillinger uses the momentum to regain guard.

Dillinger has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Evans can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Evans throws and elbow that misses. Dillinger uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Evans's guard. Nice move by Dillinger!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Dillinger accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

That was a close second round but I would say that Mark Evans will probably get the nod.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
The fighters circling - Evans throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
