The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stanford misses with a head kick.
Stanford really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Hanson.
Horrible takedown by Hanson or perhaps it was just good defense by Stanford which made him look bad.
Hanson fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Brian Stanford has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jack Hanson.
Hanson will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Stanford throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Stanford throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Hanson.

and Stanford counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Hanson is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Stanford uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Hanson.

and Stanford counters with a big head kick but Hanson shrugs it off.

and Stanford connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Hanson shoots and misses
and Stanford counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Hanson is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Stanford throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Stanford throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Hanson fails with the takedown
and Stanford makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Stanford pulls out of a head kick attempt.

A nice glancing elbow lands by Stanford.
Hanson goes for a takedown attempt but Stanford pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

and Stanford counters with a right hand to the body.

Stanford throws a head kick that half lands.
Hanson doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Stanford counters with a stiff right hand.
Stanford lands with a kick to the temple. Hanson shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Stanford lands a head kick. Hanson smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Stanford throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Hanson.
Hanson throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Stanford counters with a big head kick but Hanson shrugs it off.
Hanson wants to clinch
and Stanford counters with a huge head kick that drops Hanson! The ref dives in to stop the fight and the crowd goes wild!
