The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

MacLachlan gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Hylox trying to control the position from guard on top but MacLachlan is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
MacLachlan wants to sweep here but Hylox controlling him for the moment.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Despite being in the dominant position, Tyson Hylox just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Hylox tries to close the distance and clinch but MacLachlan swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Hylox shoots in and drives through. MacLachlan sprawls well.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
MacLachlan defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Hylox.
